SUMMARY:New Energy Farms Open Day
DESCRIPTION:NEF are holding a number of Open Days in 2024 to showcase the TEMPEC project\, \nTechnologies to Enhance the Multiplication and Propagation of Energy Crops\, which is part of the UK Governments’ Biomass Innovation Programme. \nThe Project is exploring the yield potential of a range of high yielding energy grasses\, which include Miscanthus and other Energycanes\, and demonstrating new systems to plant these crops based on NEF’s synthetic seed technology (CEEDS).\nThese Open Days are the first opportunity for the biomass industry to view these exciting new studies which include \n\nDemonstration plots of new varieties of Miscanthus and other potentially exciting Energycanes for the UK.\nNEF synthetic seeds (CEEDS ) and planters for establishing these crops.\nWork on the restoration of wetlands (Paludiculture) and contaminated land using high biomass crops\nAn impressive range of end uses for biomass\, some of which are well known\, but also some exciting new opportunities.\n\nThe Open Days will be of interest to farmers\, biomass processers\, end users of biomass feedstock and anyone with an interest in low carbon initiatives.\nOn the day you will learn about the benefits of high biomass grasses and their role in mitigating climate change\, new technologies developed in the TEMPEC project\, plus the new market opportunities and the financial benefits of growing these versatile regenerative agricultural crops. \nOpen Day Dates\n\nTaunton.          19th  September\, 26th September\, 17th  October\, 22nd  October \n\n\nWadebridge.     25th September\, 3rd October \n\n\nIsle of Wight     23rd  September \n\n\nDarlington          8th  October \n\n\nRegister Here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/new-energy-farms-open-day-taunton-tickets-959354564327 \nContact details:\nNew Energy Farms EU Limited\, 1 Cedar House\, Marlborough\, Wiltshire\, SN81NY\nUK Email: sales@newenergyfarms.com

SUMMARY:APF 2024
DESCRIPTION:The APF Exhibition is the UK’s largest forestry\, woodland\, arboriculture\, firewood. fencing\, trees and timber trade show. It attracts over 320 exhibitors and 23000 visitors \nThe show for the forestry\, woodland and tree care industries but is also of significant interest to the farming industry with a dedicated fencing village and a lot of machinery and equipment designed for small woodlands and adding value to small parcels of timber and individual trees. Producing and utilising timber as woodfuel\, whether as firewood or woodchips is also strongly featured\, as are biomass boilers. \nOver 320 exhibitors and 23000 visitors\, 95% of whom are trade professionals\, are expected to attend APF 2024. The visitor numbers are a reflection of the importance the industry places on the show as the event to check out and buy new equipment. With exhibitors from as far afield as Japan and America the APF Demo has truly become a major international event. A conservative estimate puts the value of machines on show at around £80 million! \nThere will more competitions and events than ever before including the World Poleclimbing championships\, the European Chainsaw Carving championships\, the British Open tree climbing competition\, the McVeigh Parker UK Open Fencing championships and the popular return of the UK Forwarder driving championships.
