SUMMARY:Taeda Tech - Data Modelling & Digital Twinning
DESCRIPTION:The Taeda Tech Project has been a 3 year project funded by the government’s £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio\, which looks to accelerate the commercialisation of low-carbon technologies and systems. \nThe project has primarily been focused on the growing of Short Rotation Coppice (SRC) Willow in our innovative aeroponic greenhouse and polytunnel systems. \nAs this section of the project draws toward a close\, the Taeda team will present the results of their work in a series of webinars. The first of these\, an overview of the project as a whole from our project lead Dr Zoe M. Harris can be viewed below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA further 5 webinars will be taking place on a weekly basis starting in May 2025. \nThese will set out the results of each of our work packages. \nLinks to register for each of these webinars are below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n8th May – Dr James Suckling – Life Cycle Assessment – Register Here \n15th May – Linqi Sun – Socio-Economic Impact – Register Here \n22nd May – Dr Lekan Jolayemi – Forestry Crops & Miscanthus – Register Here \n29th May – Dr Pranav Sahu – SRC Willow & Field Establishment Trials – Register Here \n5th June – Dr Yuqing Xia – Data Modelling & Digital Twinning –Register Here \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll of these webinars are open to all\, and available to register now – you are very welcome to attend as many as you like.

SUMMARY:EUBCE 2025
DESCRIPTION:EUBCE the series of European Biomass Conference \nThe first of these conference has been organized and established by the European Commission in 1980 in Brighton. The conference has now become one of the main highlight in the event calendar of the biomass world. The conference covers all aspects of biomass\, from basic research\, innovation\, deployment and policies. The exhibition provides an excellent forum for creating the necessary links and partnerships between academia\, research institutions and industry\, which can facilitate the most efficient “lab to market” transfer. \nThe Scientific Conference Programme is coordinated by the European Commission Joint Research Centre \nHere is a preview of what you can expect at EUBCE:\n\nPlenary\, Oral Presentations and Panel Discussions (including the Opening and Closing Sessions)\, covering the entire range of biomass research\, technologies and applications\nIndustry Track Programme with stakeholders from the international bioenergy industry to present and discuss the latest industry topics and market challenges\nVisual Presentations in the Poster Area. Poster authors will present their posters during a moderated visual session\nThe Parallel Events offer a deep insight into specific topics and address to global decision makers from the industry\, research\, market and policies.\nEU Projects Workshops\, Side Events and EUBCE Forum presentations offering a deep insight of specific topics\n\nWhat is so unique about EUBCE\n\nIt is a place where the state of the art and latest achievements can be discussed\, presented\, and debated.\nThere is a broad topical coverage from science and technology to industry\,  products\, applications\, operations\, economics\, business models\, markets\, policy\, and so on!\nThe whole sector is genuinely covered.\nIt is an excellent place to get an overview on everything that matters in biomass.\nA meeting point for biomass specialists from around the world.\nPresentations here allow science to be openly accessible to all.\nIt is a perfect place to find opportunities for new ideas and collaborations.

SUMMARY:Building Resilient Bio-based UK Supply Chains Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This one-day workshop\, organised by BBIA\, HVB\, the Biorenewables Development Centre and Biomass Connect\, aims to investigate the opportunities and challenges for UK bio-based supply chains to high value chemicals and materials. \nThe programme will examine the potential of UK bio-based supply chains to enable economic growth\, as well as to defossilise industry. We will explore the needs of key industry players\, and consider the processes and mechanisms needed to develop effective\, new supply chains from biomass to product. \nThrough invited talks and discussion\, we aim to unpick the major challenges and develop recommendations for progress in this area. \nOne of the Biomass Connect team will be chairing a session at the event.
