Biomass Crops and Diversification – Demonstration event

Come and join Biomass Connect with Newcastle University, supported by the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise (NICRE) for an opportunity to learn about biomass crops options, agroforestry, and diversification options at Newcastle.

The event will focus on an overview of the research into SRC willow, poplar, and other biomass crops at Newcastle University Cockle Park farm. There will be a guided crop tour to view various biomass crops and discussions on the agronomy, economics, and environmental impacts of different biomass crops and diversification options.

Getting to Cockle Park Farm:

By car: Postcode is NE61 3EB if you’re using a sat-nav or route planner.

By train: The nearest local train station to Cockle Park is Morpeth. A taxi from Morpeth to Cockle Park will take around 10 minutes.

Parking

Your vehicle must be left at the entrance to the farm, outside the reception.

• Please bring along appropriate footwear, and waterproofs (depending upon the weather)
