The month of April has been a busy one at the Biomass Connect Demonstrator hubs. Overall, the schedule is on track. Wet weather has still been a major issue for using heavy machinery on already very sodden ground at the majority of sites. Some sites have however been able to get on the land which is a positive.
Gapping up of trees has been a major task this month. All sites have planted up alder, the black locust varieties, and SRC and SRF poplar. Crops have been re-planted where necessary and preparations have been put in place for the sowing/planting of the latest trials.
Spring growth is now good across the country and we are looking forward to a productive summer season.
As usual, there are links to updates from the demonstrator hubs below for you to see what has been happening around the country.
