July 2023 – Hub Site Update
- A front foot approach on the weed management control has been taken across the site.
- A Micron Herbidome sprayer and Wheeled strimmer are to be purchased.
- Electric fencing was sent from RRes Harpenden to protect the site primarily from hares that have been observed on various visits from Biomass Connect team members. It was received on 19/07/2023 and has now been installed.
- Some insect pest damage to the Black Locust ‘Turbo’ has been observed.
- The SRC Poplar is establishing well.
- Miscanthus giganteus is emerging.
