Black Locust
- The SRF black locust ‘Turbo’ are huge, leafy and very spikey!
- The SRF black locust ‘Turbo Obelisk’ that was replanted on 17/04/2024 shows no signs of emergence yet. They will need inter-row mowing and spraying soon.

Eucalyptus
- There was some evidence of insect damage on the SRF Eucalyptus in April, but we didn’t see the actual pests. There has been no further signs during May.
- Inter-row mowing is planned to be carried out ASAP.

Poplar
- The SRF poplar that was gapped up on 17/04/2024 can’t be seen yet but we are keeping an eye on them. The other trees are tall and look healthy.

Miscanthus
- The 0.5 ha Miscanthus giganteus is growing very well. There are lots of stems on each rhizome and no signs of rabbit/hare grazing.
- The 0.5 ha Miscanthus Athena was planted on 16th May 2024. There were no signs of shoots by the end of the month.

Willow
- The 0.5 ha SRC willow is looking very green and lush and is now in full leaf.
- Inter-row spraying was carried out on 9th May.
- There is some insect damage on the outer plants but none further into the plot.

Reed Canary Grass
- The reed canary grass plot is due to be planted ASAP.
Switchgrass
- The switchgrass plot is due to be planted ASAP.
